Tanya Crumel was born on January 12, 1973 in New York, New York. Her mother relocated to Birmingham, Alabama in 1976. She is a graduate of Phillips High School in Birmingham, Alabama, and attended Glenn Hardy Cosmetology School. From there she obtained her cosmetology licenses. Tanya also has 2 sons, Jeremy 18 and Jamel 13.
Tanya has competed in several area Hair Shows in Birmingham, Alabama. She assisted Kevin Kirk in winning the 2005 Bronner Brother Hair Battle Royale in Baltimore, MD and Houston, TX. Tanya also competed in the 2007 Bronner Brother Hair Battle in Atlanta, GA. She was featured in BETJ TV show Tears, Shears, and Beauty for a season, and she will also be appearing in a Chris Rock film that will be airing soon on HBO.
Tanya's accomplishments does not end there. She also teaches product knowledge classes for Essations Product Line. She owns her own Product company called Professional Products 4 U and essations is one of the products she sales among others.
Tanya's work has also appeared in several magazines such as Black Hair Sophisticate, Hype Hair, and etc.
