Description:   FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE   MEDIA CONTACT:   Dee Dee Williams   Phone:   888.525.0901 ext. 705   Email:   nabfemeatlanta@yahoo.com     Female Executives Reach Out To the Atlanta Community - August 18, 2007     ATLANTA, GA - (July 26, 2007) - Although women continue to reach higher levels professionally, their journeys to success are often very challenging.   On Saturday, August 18, the Atlanta network of The National Association of Black Female Executives in Music and Entertainment (NABFEME) will host, "A Women's Road To Success," a special day-long event designed to help women focus on their futures so that their journeys to success are a little easier.   This life changing event will take place at the Hands On Atlanta Conference Center located at 600 Means St. Suite 100 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and is free and open to the community.   A Woman's Road to Success is a professional development fair targeting women at a crossroad in their career growth. This is an incredible resource opportunity for college students, lower or mid-level managers, new or aspiring entrepreneurs or employees seeking a career change.   The event will host four panels focusing on key issues facing the professional development of women in today's workplace such as Entrepreneurship, How to Survive in a Male Dominated Field, How to Successfully Switch Career Gears and How to Get Recognized by the Media.   The panels feature some of Atlanta’s top executives in the fields of media, business, nonprofit, finance, legal, marketing and entertainment.   Additionally, a "Coaches Room" will give attendees an opportunity to get one-on-one career development advice from some of Atlanta's leading career coaches, life coaches and human resource professionals.   Workshop speakers for the day are Joyce Davis, Author and CEO- Powerflow Media, Kysha Cameron, Executive Director-Ryan Cameron Foundation, Sonia Murray, Writer- Atlanta Journal Constitution, C.J. Bland, CEO and Co-Founder, Minority Professional Network, Tenisha Abernathy, CNN and Carla Morrison, CEO Chit Chat Communications.   There will also be professional associations and local businesses from various industries that will convene to provide a unique service opportunity to Atlanta area women seeking career growth, changes and/or opportunities. Exhibitors include organizations from medicine, law, retail, finance, government, education, entrepreneurship, marketing, fashion and entertainment.   Event partners include the Atlanta Downtown Marriott, Hands On Atlanta, Chit Chat Communications, and Brilliance In Action.   This event is will put attendees in the "right place, with the right people" through career coaching and one-on-one interaction with business executives who can give them the insight they may need to get their careers moving in the right direction.
